Redefining Postpartum Recovery
This Is Spaceware (TIS) is the first femtech company creating innovative solutions for the woman’s cyclical body inspired by spacesuit engineering.
Founded by Brittany Mason (CEO) and Amanda Deng, TIS was established to address a longstanding gap in maternal care: the lack of anatomically engineered, function-first recovery solutions.
Guided by our philosophy, Ancient Future, TIS restores time-honored postpartum practices—such as womb wrapping—using precision textile science and 3D-knit engineering.
Ancient Wisdom. Modern Engineering.
Our products are designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States in collaboration with university textile laboratories and are rigorously tested with real mothers to ensure performance, comfort, and reliability in real-world recovery.
Designed for the Cyclical Body
TIS is pioneering a new category of care known as The Cyclical Body, recognizing recovery as an ongoing physiological process that extends beyond postpartum into hormonal, abdominal, and cyclical transitions. Through cultural respect, scientific rigor, and human-centered design, TIS is committed to helping raise the standard for postpartum recovery.
Meet the Founders
BRITTANY MASON, COFOUNDER & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Brittany Mason is cofounder and CEO of TIS and a doula with a deep understanding of the woman's cyclical body. Through her work supporting women in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, she has witnessed firsthand the gaps in how mothers are cared for after delivery.
Her background includes being a Mother and a world traveler, having lived abroad in Australia, South America, East Africa, and South Africa. Rooted in a more than 15-year friendship, Brittany and Amanda share a foundation built on a deep respect for their individual callings, Britt in maternal care and Amanda in spacesuit design. Together, they bring these perspectives into a single system, combining maternal insight with engineering to design for the needs of the women’s cyclical body, starting with postpartum.
At TIS, she leads vision, brand, and go-to-market, ensuring every product reflects the real needs of mothers. She brings the voice of the body into the system, shaping solutions that support recovery with both intention and rigor.
AMANDA DENG, COFOUNDER
Amanda Deng is cofounder of TIS and a spacesuit engineer who builds the hardware astronauts actually wear. She grew up in China, where traditional life conditioning 养生 rituals are embedded in people's lives.
Her background includes the United States Air Force, Sierra Space, ICON Aircraft, and Blue Origin. Across these programs, she has worked hands-on with the development, test, and production of flight hardware and human-rated vehicles. Currently, she is living her passion, working on softgoods and pressure garments for human spaceflight to achieve the goal of humankind working and living in space one day.
At TIS, she drives design development from concept through execution, emphasizing performance, reliability, and practical solutions to provide Mothers the rigor of what's provided to astronauts operating in extreme environments.
